anyone know of any websites that offer services like the virtual stock market where we can use "online money"

vse.com is a virtual stock exchange website sponsored by marketwatch but i don’t like how the website is designed because you can actaully buy company stocks at 0.00 dollars which makes absolutely no sense. are there any other websites online that offer services like vse where you can use online money to invest so that you can learn more about stocks? the website should be realistic.

Take a look at Marketocracy, which lets you the manage one or more $1 million mutual funds. You have to actually enter the buy and sell orders there, then they take place as a percentage of actual trading volume during the day. Also, they give you a nice performance chart over time. I use it to test out some of my ideas in "real time". For example, here is a portfolio I’ve been testing using Zack’s #1 rated stocks:

How does insurance work when driving another persons’ car?

If I’m driving another persons’ car which has insurance on it (but I don’t own a car or have auto insurance) and there is an accident, will the persons’ car insurance cover it. Also, is it legal to drive that car since its insured already (even though I don’t own insurance myself). Please don’t guess…

If you had permission to drive this person’s vehicle, then their insurance will cover the loss as long as there was active coverage at the time. This is called "permissive use" in the industry.

Now if the policy for the vehicle you were driving specifically excludes any drivers other then those listed on the policy, then they will not cover the loss and you will be pursued personally for the damages from the other party involved….meaning sued!

What kind of business licenses are required for a home-based / online based business?

I am starting a business that will be ran out of my home in SC. It is primarily an internet marketing business which may include the following activities:

-Variety of Websites generating advertising revenue
-Some websites may sell a product
-Some selling on eBay
-May purchase wholesale items for resale
-Web Design Service
-Some websites may offer services locally (e.g. computer repair)
-Online marketing services offered to local clients

I expect to hire no employees in first twelve months.

I picture the business as an octopus. The head is my business (e.g. 123XYZ Marketing). Then the octopus of course has its 8 legs, which would be made up of the variety of things above. So if I had started marketing 123XYZ Web Design at a local level, 123XYZ Web Design is just a leg of 123XYZ Marketing… As the legs test the water, some will grow, some will change, some will die; as long as the head survives.

So, I need to figure out, how do I put my Octopus on paper, and be legit?

Are you planning to open a main company then break it down to other business/company? Well if that’s the case. What I would recommend would be you opening up the main company as an LLC. Then break each company down. You will need to register you main company if it’s going to be an LLC with the state of South Carolina. Then register each other company seperately with your register of deeds. Also for every company that you’re going to sell anything tangibles, you will need a sales & Use tax license.

Is car insurance for a second driver over 25 years of age free in Canada?

My girlfriend will be getting a car soon, and will be buying an insurance policy. I am 25 years old and have been driving for around 8 years. Do I need to purchase a second insurance policy to be able to drive that same car?

if your not living together than you can just drive the car but if u are than you need to be put on her insurance plan
