In the video, the instructor, Jacques Habra, discusses his enthusiasm in teaching the course, his previous experience lecturing at the University of Michigan, the University of California, Santa Barbara, and Santa Barbara City College. He also discusses his extensive experience developing several very successful web related businesses. Web Elite, although not one of the largest companies, was highly regarded, and very innovative and successful. It worked with many clients including General Motors, Wells Fargo, ESPN, and Sun Microsystems. He discusses some of the most important fundamentals of marketing, and offers some recommended readings including “Crossing the Chasm” by Geoffrey A. Moore and “Buy-ology: Truth and Lies About Why We Buy” by Martin Lindstrom.
