Recently a small rock flew off a big truck and hit my front windshield, a small crack was in the window. The next day the crack spread some more. I am hoping it doesn’t get worse but I was wondering if car insuance covers something like this.
What would it be under in the policy? I personally have progressive.
If you have comprehensive on your policy your vehicle should be covered. A claims adjuster probably be the deciding factor if your particular claim is covered or not.
Usually you have to pay your comprehensive deductable, if you selected to have more than liablitiy on you auto policy.
Call progressive. They would be able to look at your auto policy and let you know.
I would not let the crack go long before trying to fix it. Sometimes insurance companies will not pay out if you do not do everything in your power from making the damage more costly and sometimes when you have a small crack it is not nessessary to replace the entire window. If the crack gets larger it may become nessessary to replace the entire window
